We are changing our family story. We are a first generation flower farmer, but we are a multiple generation of family focused entreprenuers.
ABOUT pocket of seeds
In 2012, we were sitting in Sunday morning service listening to a message that mentioned seeds. I don't remember all the details, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head that my talents aren't many but if all I had were a pocket of seeds what could I do with them. Several nights later, I started a ministry called Pocket of Seeds to help those who were sick, in special need and widowed. It included making dinners, special visits, sending cards and other helps which included an entire church congregation.
When planning out this flower business it seemed only appropriate to name this farm...Pocket of Seeds because I started it with literally a pocket size of seeds.
The exciting thing is we are using these seeds as a ministry as well. We give "just because", "get well", "better days ahead" and "you are loved" bouquets to those who are in need of a little encouragement.
There are three major understandings gained from growing:
1. We reap in different seasons then we sow.
2. Most times you plant a single seed and bare multiple fruit.
3. The soil makes all the difference.
Pocket of Seeds Farm is more than just flowers; its a learning experience and I'm blessed to have had just a pocket full of seeds.
